Cable Raceway Tips

Wire management is one of the most practical things you could do for your office. Not only are exposed and loose cables distracting, unsightly, and disorganized; they're also a hazard to your equipment and safety. There are many ways to manage cables to keep them from posing these hazards, but a few methods can be notably more effective. These include:

  • Using a cable raceway to keep cords contained
  • A server cabinets to protect wires and control switches.
  • Running wires along hanging braces to keep them out of harm's way
  • Keeping cables contained against walls or in corners
  • Running cables under protective guards when they must be on the floor
  • Using Velcro cable ties to keep loose cords from hanging in walkways

There are many ways to guard against a haphazard tug on cords or to protect your employees from a dangerous fall. At CableMaster we have a host of wire management solutions available for your convenience in our Products section.

Practical Velcro Cable Ties

In some situations, it's not practical to use cable management devices like a cable raceway or other containment device to keep cords restrained. For example, workstations with many cables that are contained under a desk might not be good candidates for the usual protective methods. For these situations, you can take advantage of the straightforward containment abilities of Velcro cable ties.

The flexibility of Velcro provides a sufficient amount of give in the restraint, so that if someone does need to access the bundled cables, they can easily do so. The pliable nature of Velcro ties also translates into a harmless form of fastening. You won't see the impact found with tightly fastened plastic or wire cable ties.
